Hays House hosts a variety of spacious bedroom. All have a “nursing call” bell system which when used enlists the help of our well-trained staff day or night. Bedrooms are available fully furnished, however residents are encouraged, should they wish, to provide their own soft furnishings to individualise their own room.
There are many designs of bedrooms with alternate views of the beautiful countryside. We have some larger rooms for those who wish to share. All rooms have a wash basin, a TV and many have private en-suite facilities.
There is a spacious and elegant dining room where our Residents meet for meals. Should you wish to eat in your own room that is catered for as well. Our in-house Chefs and Kitchen Team devise varied menus of good home cooked food using locally sourced meat and vegetables. Special dietary requirements are always catered for and choice is provided with an alternative menu, should you wish for something different.

We have three communal lounges, all furnished with SMART televisions, lounge chairs and tables. In these communal rooms’ residents can sit and socialise together, enjoy watching television, participate in various organised activities or just enjoy their own space to read or listen to music. In all communal lounges there is a selection of books, newspapers, magazines, CD’s and DVD’s for our residents to use. After all it is their home!
At Hays House Nursing Home we have a dedicated Activities and Engagement Lead who plans and organises both daily activities and larger events. A weekly plan is provided to all residents each week and posted in the communal lounges. We use our communal rooms and the gardens for various activities. For those residents who are bed bound, one to one sessions are held with them in their rooms.
For those residents who wish to continue their spiritual journey we can arrange visits from our local church or other religious leaders. For those who are bed bound, room visits are organised upon the request of our residents.
Medical - GPs from Hindon Surgery visit the Home regularly. Local residents may retain their existing GP if they prefer. If residents are not local, then we will register our residents with Hindon Surgery.

Hairdresser - Our hairdresser visits weekly and by separate appointment as requested.
Laundry - Residents have their personal laundry cleaned in house by our own laundry staff.
Chiropodist - The Chiropodist visits monthly and by separate appointment if needed.
Optician - The optician provides regular eye tests and supplies, fits and repairs glasses.
Dentist – We can arrange for you to visit a local dentist should you require dental care.
Alternative services can be organised at residents request.
